| Cottonwood Properties – Dove Mountain, AZ
Warnick + Company was retained by the project developer, Cottonwood Properties, to provide concept and brand strategy, deal structuring, and equity financing for a luxury resort within this 6,200 acre master-planned resort community in the Tortolita Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona. We identified Ritz-Carlton as the operator of the resort, negotiated their management agreement, and secured approximately $50 million in equity capital and mezzanine financing for the project from Marriott. The transaction closed in 2007 and the 250-room Ritz-Carlton and two Jack Nicklaus golf courses is currently under construction and due to open in Fall of 2009. One of the two Nicklaus courses will be the new home of the PGA Accenture Match Play Championship. |
